This week I interviewed the spunky, embodied whole-lotta-woman Susana Frioni. In between being a ‘Deep Coach’, interviewing inspirational beings & running weekly podcasts, blogging, speaking gigs, being a mama and teaching the occasional yoga class, Susana facilitates monthly Love Sex Desire (LSD) Sacred Dance Parties all over Australia.
When I decided to launch the Sexy Series, I knew Susana would come to the party with plenty of juicy, yummy, gooey tips on how to embody SEXINESS!
So grab a cuppa, read on for her sexy insights and like all her pages to keep updated when a dance party is coming to your city!
What does ‘sexy’ mean to you?
When I rest my attention on the word sexy, I am flooded with a variety of images: Beyonce owning her sexuality full tilt in her latest self-titled album; a lover crying in my arms as they melt into their vulnerabilities; someone speaking their truth; an eye gaze that penetrates my soul; black lace; his naked body; her art; wearing a dress without any panties; the way he leads; the way she surrenders.
On one hand sexy means confidence, power and style.
On the other hand it means authenticity, presence and freedom. With that said, not all confidence is sexy. And not all presence is sexy either.
Sexy is really in the eye of the beholder. So as long as it turns me on, then that’s what I’d call sexy.
When do you feel most sexy?
When the right kind of music hits me in the right kind of places. I can be mid sentence and suddenly be penetrated with the beats of a song that are begging to have their way with me. It’s why I created LOVE SEX DESIRE Sacred Dance Parties. I want every woman to experience this kind of aliveness and sexiness.
What are some rituals you practice that make you feel sexy?
There are a number of things I do that make me feel sexy (like getting my hair done, wearing a new outfit, visiting the day spa, cranking the sexy tunes, eating raspberries) but when it comes to “rituals” most of them revolve more around the purpose of presence and connection than the purpose of feeling sexy. Feeling sexy just happens to be the by-product of these rituals and practices.
For example, every night before I go to sleep I do a body scan. This involves one hand on my heart, one hand on my solar plexus and a few rounds of deep conscious breathing while I scan my body’s sensations from head to toe. This ritual deepens the intimacy I have with my body and my soul. And it’s this intimacy that amps up the sexy vibes.
Your favourite sexy tune? (You will have a tonne of these)
Currently I’m loving this tune called Secrets. It’s explicit lyrics and slow beats feel so good in body at the moment.
For more sexy tunes, I recently made 3 awesome playlists on spotify. You can check them out here. Lots of my fav songs on those ones.
What are some things a man (or woman) does that make you feel especially sexy?
Adoration. When a lover adores my body with his words and his touch, my sexy status goes through the roof.
What is your body language when you feel sexy in your skin?
My body language shapeshifts depending on what kind of sexy I’m feeling. But there is one thing that seems to be pretty constant: a certain penetrative eye gaze and a particular smile.
My sexiest body part?
My curves. All of them.
If you could have dinner with the sexiest person on Earth (living…so it can come true) who would it be and why?
Beyonce, because she’s a sexy powerhouse who just owns it all – her gifts, her body, her art and her sexuality.
Three of the your most sexiest sounding words:
erotic. ecstasy. curious.
Three of your sexiest foods:
Raspberries. Raspberries. Raspberries.
If you could invent a Sexy Superhero, what would her name be, how would she dress and what is her super hero powers?
My Sexy Superhero is called “The LSD Mistress”. She dresses like an egyptian goddess. Her jewels are all made of gold including her magic serpent cuff. As for her super power, it’s alchemy. She has the power to transform one substance into another, be it lead to gold, dark to light, pain to pleasure, suffering to freedom, fear to love.
What could you do even more of to make you feel sexy?
Right now, I’m interested in turning my meals (the whole preparing, cooking and eating) into more of a sexy orgasmic ritual. I want to feel more love, soul and orgasms here and have it nourish me physically, soulfully and sexually.
